PEAK CLASSIC PROGRAM
The Peak Classic Racing Program is the perfect introduction to alpine ski racing for young athletes who want to build confidence, improve their skiing skills, and experience the excitement of competition in a fun and supportive team environment.
Hosted at Timber Ridge Ski Area in Gobles, Michigan, the Classic Program focuses on developing strong skiing fundamentals through structured training, age-appropriate coaching, and race course experiences. Athletes train on weekends throughout January and February, learning slalom and giant slalom techniques while building balance, edge control, speed, and race strategy.
Designed for skiers ages 5–14, the program welcomes both new and returning racers. No previous racing experience is required. Athletes are grouped by age and ability to ensure a positive learning experience and steady progression throughout the season.
Peak Racing was founded by coaches with deep roots in the Timber Ridge racing community and is dedicated to helping athletes develop not only as racers, but as lifelong skiers. Our experienced coaching staff emphasizes sportsmanship, teamwork, goal setting, and a passion for the sport while creating an environment where every athlete can succeed.
Throughout the season, racers have the opportunity to participate in regional invitational races, represent Peak Racing at ski areas across Michigan, and build friendships that extend beyond the race course. Whether an athlete’s goal is to experience their first race, improve their technique, or prepare for higher levels of competition, the Peak Classic Program provides the foundation for long-term success.
